  1. I use DVDit for making DVD's. To avoid transcoding the audio streams in DVDit, you need to have the audio source in either PCM or AC3.

I would like to be able to batch process a number of projects in Premiere 6.5, exporting the video and audio streams separately, and the audio in PCM. This will make the DVDit process quicker, especially if I use SoftEncode to make AC3.

The source is PAL DV AVI in Premiere 6.5. The MPEG encoder that comes with Prem6.5 will export the streams separately, but for PAL the audio is only exported as MPA. If I use the CCE2.64 plugin, I can't export the audio stream separately - I can export the video only, but the only way it lets me export audio is as MPEG program stream with video as CBR.

If anyone can tell me how I can batch process the exporting of WAV for audio, I would really appreciate it. I've got a few ways to export just the video, and I would like to avoid frameserving if possible (at least until I upgrade to dual athlon system...)

  2. Go to (F)ile-(E)xport Timeline. Select "Audio." When the save dialogue box comes up, select "Settings" in the lower right. Change File Type to "Windows Waveform." Select Entire Project in "Range" settings if you want the whole project exported or select "Work Area" if you just want your highlighted area to export. Click "OK" give it a name and click "Save."

  3. That works fine, but I can't see a way to batch process just the audio. If you click Project, Utilities, Batch Processing, there doesn't seem to be a way to export just the audio as WAV.

WAV doesn't take long to export anyway, so maybe I just put up with not being able to batch it....

    Thnx
