Hello ... I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I'm converting home movies to DVD. I picked up a pack of TDK 2X DVD-Rs for the job. The first DVD I burned (CBR @ 6000 burned using DVD Decrypter) didn't play well on my AIWA DV-370 player - the video was a bit jerky (it would hang for a second and then continue - the audio was fine, though) and I got the sense that the player was having trouble reading data from the disk. The same disk played just fine on my parents' DVD player.
After installing the 1.0f firmware upgrade, I burned a second newly-authored DVD-R and tried it on my AIWA player. This time there were no problems at all with the playback! I encoded, authored, and burned both DVD-Rs the same way. I can only attribute the change to the 1.0f firmware.
I'm trying to decide if I should reburn my 1st DVD, but I wanted to know if anyone else has noticed similar improvements. Thanks.
