ok! I have two parts of an avi film that I want to join! i'm trying to use virtuadub to join them but when I try to append the second part of the avi, I'm getting an error saying "cannot append segment: the audio streams have different sampling rates(14400.00000 vs 14315.00000)
any ideas on how to join them?
I can make a direct stream copy from the two avi's with no adio and then join the two avi's together with no adio!
so how do I get the audio joined?

Virtual Dub->load your first XviD->Audio, Full Processing Mode->Audio, Conversion, change the sampling rate by selecting one of the radiobuttons in Sampling rate box (44100Hz for (S)VCDs)->Audio, Compression, choose your preferred audio codec (MPEG layer 3 is good) and in the right hand box choose your preferred audio quality for the sampling rate you just chose in Conversion window->Video, Direct Stream Copy->File, Save as AVI, choose a new file name and SAVE. Then do the same for your second XviD (choosing exactly the same sampling rate, quality and audio codec). Now you can join your 2 files with no problems (hopefully
).
