I have several Xvid files with MP3 audio (VBR). Each file is in perfect A/V synch, but when I join them the audio gets ahead of the video. As a result the joined file has no audio in the last part of it. I use the AVI joiner from Boilsoft for the joining.
Is there another tool or method I could use to keep the audio and video in synch?
    Thanks in advance.

    Try avidemux.

Thanks, but I cannot find a joinerfunction in Avidemux. Also the manual for Avidemux says that Libmad has to be installed for the audio time map to work. What is Libmad and where do I find it?

    File/open load you first file
    File/append load your second file
Save, make sure you add .avi to the filename.
Libmad - http://www.underbit.com/products/mad/ as far as I know I don't have that program installed and avidemux works fine.

Same here - just AVIDemux, nothing extra. When it prompts to build the map, answer yes. No problems to date.

Thanks, it worked great but isnt there a way to load all the videofiles in one step? Its rather demanding when joining 10 x 10 clips.

What are you doing that requires 10 clips ?

No, you can only append one file at a time
