  2. this software was really shit!, dont waste you money to buy it, support only a few video format, and they are not very user friendly.

  3. Dreambill, if you're going to dis a product, can you be a little more specific? Edition DV is a pro-level editor. It's not a toy. Don't know what you expected when you tired it out. If you are used to editing with a different editor, then, yes, Edition DV will have a learning curve. The things the Edition has going for it that you didn't mention is, "Nesting" for long form editiong (this lets you move edited material off the timeline and lets you keep working from the same timeline), instant save (where if there's a power failure or if you crash, you can reboot and begin editing right from where you left off), and background rendering (the software renders complex effects such as color adjustments you've made to a shot, or compositing effects shots in the background. allowing you to keep working on the timeline until the effect is rendered.)

background editing -- sounds great , only a few systems do that right now with toaster being one. nesting is nice feature also .. instant save is a must for some of us ...

hmm now that ive plug'd this product in a good light - i wouldnt mind having a few words about the 'support' of my Pinnacle reeltime nitro, well anyway the great trade in your going to give me for it : ) ( i also have a 2000RTX sitting in the closet, maybe soon to get company) ... .....

  5. i think premiere 6.5 was better then pinnacle edition dv, the option are very similar(its sure edition dv have more transition and special effect, but its because pinnacle have built-in HFX) premiere can open more different kind of file format working with was more easy. then you talking about instant save, in premiere you can "instant save" too, just set the setting for, then you can view the effect without rendering in premiere too.

my 2 cents is: buy Premiere 6.5 and Hoolywood FX gold, and you got a more easy to use and powerfull software, then Pinnacle Edition DV

  6. PC Magazine review both Premiere and Edition 4.5 and they gave Edition their Editor's Choice. They like it a LOT more than Premiere. Also, Edition 4.5 includes Impression DVD Pro which supports most authoring options like Maestro.
