    How do I set Powerdvd XP 4.0 as default player for Mpeg,Avi etc?

    Go to your start menu, then settings, then control panel. In the control panel choose folder options and in that click on the file types tab. There is a list of all the registered file types, and if you click on a file type you can see what program opens file and also change that.
