I have split the DVD1 (to be burned on 2 dvd's) of the LOTR with IFOEDIT, and done all the things need to be done (read some tutorials) to make them ready to copy to DVD+R.

    Test on PowerDVD results GOOD.

Start up Nero (version 55917...just updated). select DVDVideo (no multises.) try to write then Nero said

DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?

Yes of course i want to resulting that the DVD dont play........

    I'm a missing still something here ???

Thanks in advance for you help

  2. Chances are that it will play OK. You can avoid this error in Nero by burning your DVD-videos using UDF/ISO mode.

AFAIK the only real difference between UDF/ISO and dvd-video (in Nero that is) is that the DVD-Video version looks at the files being burnt (not their contents, just their filenames) and checks that all the files required a valid DVD-video are there and no others.

    Hope this helps

  3. I've had this same error, the resolve I found was to use IFOEdit on the two directories (DVD's) independantly you've made, i.e. after you have split them.

Open IFOEDIT, and then [Create IFO].
You will be asked which VOB file you want to create VIDEO_TS.IFO, in this case navigate to the 1st VOB file of the set. IFOEDIT re-create 2 files VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.IFO
    Close down IFOEDIT without saving.
Start IFOEDIT and open VIDEO_TS.IFO and click on [GET VTS SECTOR] and follow the suggestion until finish repeat this step with all IFO files in this directory. Close down IFOEDIT and again without saving.

Burn using DVD-Video mode of Nero and all is fine.
