    OK, this is my first time turing a DVD to Divx, so i am a NOOB. Ok i decided to rip just the first chapter to see if i can do it right. I used Guardian Knot, smartripper to rip the VOB's, DVD2AVI to save the D2v file. I then used guardian know to encode the file in Divx5 but at certain parts the movie will just stop. What is wrong? Is there better programs out there for me to use? Please give me the best possible instructions on how to convert DVD to Divx with the best results.
