how to get svcd 480x480, not 720x480 in mpipe?

i'm going from a qt movie, from final cut, 720x480 dv codec, ntsc, lower feild first. this is my first time using mpipe too, open mpipe, file browser, add movie, qt decode, then mpeg2enc, then i choose all the svcd settings, and the forsce 480 horizonal, but my final movie always comes out 720x480, not 480x480. so what am i doing wrong???? everything else seems fine, it's in synch just not the right size?
