I capture using Studio 7. Captured file comes out perfect. No sync problems.
Then I edit (adding titles/transitions etc...)
Next I render back to DV to ready it for conversion by CCE.
The problem is that after rendering back along video (around 2hrs), the new AVI file is out of sync at the last 5-10min of the movie.
I can work around it like this. I render only 1st half of move, the render second have of move, then encode with CCE, then join the mpg's using TMPGEnc.
Is the problem studio 7, or the DV codec? Would using another software package make things any better. The added steps really do cost a lot of extra time/work.
BTW, I have to capture with studio 7 because I have a pinnacle dc-10+ and other software won't recognize either the cd-10+ and the avi capture it creates.
I can capture DV with firewire, but the sync problems appeare in the CAPTURED avi file after about 100min. There is NO sync problems in the dc-10+ capture at all (only in the newly rendered avi I have to create for CCE).
Thanks
