  1. I have a problem and need help. I am unable to open MPEG2 files in TMPGenc. I realized that TMPGenc does not support MPEG2 decoder, but I heared that I could just install another MPEG2 decoder and then TMPGenc will allow me to open MPEG2 files. I have now installed PowerDVD (with mpeg2 codec) and that didnt work, so I then installed Elecard MPEG2 Decorder, but still I can not open MPEG2 files in TMPGenc.

    HELP !! : )

  2. In the TOOLS section of VCDHELP you must download the VFP for TMPGENC that will enable the MPEG-2 as input....

You can install the VFapi stuff, but that still does not allow TMPGenc to open mpeg-2, but you can use DVD2AVI to open mpeg-2 and then open the .d2v file in tmpgenc.

Check the how to's for DVD to whatever using DVD2AVI and TMPGenc. Alter the how to where appropriate and you should be set.

  4. Hi -

Well I just did install the TMPGEnc MPEG2 Plugin, but still can not open any mpeg2 files! I just dont understand because I use to be able to open mpeg2 files just fine with TMPGenc Plus .... this all started when I re-installed winXP and TMPG : (

  6. Well I got it working. What I had to do was install the MPEG-2 Video Plugin, and also I had to change the priority settings in tmpg from 0 to 1

I can now open all MPEG-2 files with no problem !!

    Cheers
