I just purchased a Pioneer DVR-104 burner, and it came with sonic "My DVD" (very mickey mouse), and Nero Express and Vision. Neither of the Nero products, even though they are strongly touting the ability to burn dvd, have the required MPEG 2 dvd plug-in. When I go to the Nero site, there is no MPEG 2 dvd plug-in offered. Am I missing something here?

Thanks, however, that aint it. You'll notice that that is the svcd version, not the dvd. (unless they are the same) They are talking about the two different plug-ins throughout the site, but don't show an availability for the dvd.

Barky,
You don't need the plug-in unless of course you want Nero to transcode the file (which I don't recommend). If it's MPEG-2 and in a compliant format all you should need to do is follow the wizard and do a drag and drop.Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack -
You were right. The problem was that I didn't pay attention to which drive was selected. Nero separates the drive onto two lines, one for cd, and one for dvd. Once I selected dvd, I got an entirely different set of options, and burned beautifully.
