ok people ive got a movie im wanting to burn to disc but the sound quality is poor is there a filter i can use or some s/w that would work in the same way as say dolby noise reduction to remove the hissing when im encoding it any help would be great

I would use Gold Wave. I would load the original video, select Effects-->
Filter-->Noise Reduction-->OK. Save as a wave file and remux with TMPGEnc. But that is just meHello.
