...HAVE PLENTY OF RAM...HARD DRIVE SPACE...200MHZ FRONT BUS
SPEED...HAVE TRIED 3 DIFFERENT OS'S SAME THING...HAVE DEFRAGED
...WONDERING WHAT IS HAPPENING....ANY IDEAS![]()

Try this method of extracting the audio from the AVI and using the resulting WAV as the audio source in TMPGE:

You may have bad frames.

hi,
do you have differnt types of ram in your machine, as when i professionally upgraded, the ram was matched properly by a trained consultant and tmpg started freezing during encoding, at completely random points.
when i changed to a single stick of ram rather than the two i had before( both pc133 sdram) the problem seems(!) to have gone away.
