Well I got this Hardware Pinnacle Bungee DVD.
It is a TV Tuner recorder. At first I thought it was very good!
BUT!!
It may have good potential but not right now!
the cost is $300 and they need to improve there support and there support software. I was successful in recording off a VCR tape.
But I could not use there or any other program to convert to SCVD format. I could not use TMPEnc. or VCDcutter to break apart the mpeg.
Accually I have no clue what format this hardware records. It says MPEG-2? But I never got an accuall support email to answer my simple question.
Since the price was steep! I decided to take my 15% open box an return it to CompUSA!! I could not make the hardware work after 10 solid days of BETA TESTING IT!!
I would suggest that Pinnacle improves there product before they try and sell it! and Get some Customer Support!!
Just my thoughts!!

I just bought one for about half that!
I've been able to burn SVCD but he manual is one of the worst I've come across!
You capture in MPG2 and can burn in DVD or SVCD The SVCD runs well on my DAEWOO 3000N.
It is necesary to SAVE the file after its captured before you are able to burn it This fact that is not clear in the manual. The save process does something to the file, which reduces the size and makes it SVCD compatible. I think the same holds for DVD (don't have a DVD so haven't tested that).
