    When I try to open quite a few of the .avi Simpson's episodes to convert and burn I get the error message "File: 'filename' can not open or unsupported" I'm not really sure whats wrong but figure it's an easy enough problem that hopefully one of you could help me with, thanks.

    Hmm, I'm not certain, I've installed an mpeg-4 video codec. I'm not sure if this answers your question but I would really appreciate some more help,thanks.

    Especially the first one, changing directshow prirority often help
