    Hi. I am using the tool GordianKnot to rip a DVD. However, I wanted to use a .SSA (Sub Station Alpha) subtitle file. I do not wish to use VirtualDub and the subtitle plugin because of bitrate calculations, credits, etc. Instead I want to use GordianKnot. GordianKnot has a VobSub utility.

    How do I convert the SSA to the .SUB and .IDX files needed by VobSub?

    No need to convert the subtitles. Textsub is part of the vobsub package, that can be used with Avisynth.
