NERO burning problem

Ok I am trying to burn a data DVD in NERO which contains a DVD I RIPed already however once I get everything ready to burn when I click on burn it brings up a pop up screen that allows me to check everything but down at the bottom of the box it was a progress bar taht eventually fills that says "Waiting for the device to become ready..." and I can't go any farther, my DVD burner is a Phillips DVD+RW-D28 and the blank dvd I am using is a Memorex DVD-RW (4.7GB/120 min video) if anyone can help please do. thanks.

Make sure that you can use DVD-RW on you burner. Maybe you need DVD+RW...

The phillips drive most assuredly can not use - media it must be + media.

Had the same problem with my dvd burner mine supports only DVD-R/RW
Not DVD + R/RW there is a difference.

Definatly the media I have the same drive you want to use DVD+R and DVD+RW NOT -R or -RW
