  2. Ulead requires mpeg-1 files to match the VCD standard specification.
If you have a non-standard mpeg-1 file, the "export" funtion in
movie factory can re-encode your video to match what is required.

For NTSC this is MPEG-1, 352x240, 224kbs audio at 44.1Hkz
For PAL, 352x288,224kbs audio at 44.1Hkz

(there are also GOP requirements as well - i.e how the mpeg video
    is encoded)

See the link below for more info.

  5. If you used the standard VCD template in TMPGenc, then MovieFactory should have taken them - I have yet for the program to reject one made with the standard TMPGenc template (done many music videos).

All I can suggest is you retrace your steps to see if something went funky.

I used to use Ulead but i've stopped now. u might have a compliant VCD in PAL or NTSC but when you installed Ulead did you select PAL or NTSC as your mode. If you chose PAL as your mode but encoded your MPG as a NTSC it aint going to happen and you have to encode again.I'm not sure if you'll understand this as i don't often give advice.
