  1. Use Gear Pro DVD instead. Nothing I tried would make Nero burn DVD that played in a DVD player. Used GEAR Pro DVD 6.0 and it worked spankingly.

  3. Didn't say that nero doesn't work. quite a few people have emailed me saying that they can't get their discs to be recognised. Just suggesting an alternative.

Or upgrade to the lastest version, never had a problem with NERO myself.

  5. I've been having problems with Nero myself, which is a shame because it is the only program that does all i want it to. It seems, however, that my new Pioneer 505 changer, and my girlfriend's pioneer 353 (basically the same players) do not like discs burned with Nero.

Gear has worked flawlessly, BUT, it's sucky interface won't allow much flexibility. I HATE THAT. As a software guy, PLEASE, software people...don't think for me too much!! So many programs force things on you, which cripples them and they wind up being completely useless.

Does anyone know 1) what could be wrong with the Nero issue...i have tried several versions and same thing. Either doesn't read the disc at all, or in 1 case reads it but the pioneer player forces some weird blue menu across the top of the screen with a little camera icon that won't go away! What the hell is that all about?
or 2) know how to make Gear import more than the losely 1 VIDEO_TS folder with ONE set of VTS, and ifo files only!!?? I have a dvd with multiple video sets, extras and what not, and Gear won't let me import past the main video set. Very frustrating.

Any help would be GREATLY appreaciated.

  6. There is a setting in the misc tab about a cache (sorry, I'm not on my home pc with nero on it). Unchecking "use cache" switched me from coasters to good disks. Worth a try.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

  8. I have never been able to get nero to work with my burner. I have been using recordnow max 4.1 untill i upgraded my firmware version from Pioneer and went through hell getting everything to work again. Stomp Inc is releasing 4.5 update which i was told sunday the 20th but i still havent seen it. The Beta i have works great and clears up several com error and firmware/ media specific issues. Keep your eyes open for the update. It also cut down on my burners disc initialization time. No more Comm or media issues!!
