CCE 2.5 doesn't work with anything

i installed windows2000, the nimo codecs, tmpgenc 2.54, windows media player 9.0 beta and everything worked fine.
then wmp started giving me problems so i uninstalled it and then installed wmp 7.1 and wmp codecs v8.
now cce 2.5 doesn't work with anything. it keeps giving me an error message stating:
"cctsp.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. you will have to restart the program"

no matter what type of compression of avi i try, i always get the same error. i tried using vdub and saving as "old format avi," but even that didn't work.

any help would be greatly appreciated because i love using CCE
