I have made my first SVCD using Ulead and it plays back OK on my PC. My DVD player is a combination laser disk and CD DVD player and is not on your compatability list. However the manual says it will play a Video CD which I assume is the same as a SVCD. Howver I cannot get it to play back. When I look at the disk I made it has a number of folders but nothing in its root is this correct. I apologise that this is a very basic question.![]()

some dvd players will not play svcds but will play vcds. try making a vcd. if you got videostudio 6 you can make the vcd. you can also try to just make a mpg in vcd or svcd format and use nero to make a vcd or svcd and see it that works.
