  1. some of the OEM drives dont have cables included so what I would like to know is what cables does the drive use and were can I get them?

    Any DMA66 or better cable can work. Its standard parts. Should be able to get one anywhere.

    any ide cable ... 40 or 80 wire

    ide cables should be no longer than 18" though they use big long ones on cd-r 's with no problems .

    any computer store has these cable s ..
