This is my camera:

I have this cable:

But want this cable:
https://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId...ductId=1001194
I see no audio on the component though.
Does one exist with component + audio?
Thanks

It's hard to tell from the pix but I believe the second cable isn't a component video cable, it's just a gold-plated version of the cable you already have (S-Video out, composite video out, and left/right audio). As such, I hardly think it's worth shelling out sixty bucks for.
I noticed your camcorder does have DV out (iLink) so there may be some options there for feeding directly into a big-screen TV. -

Again, this is still hard to tell from the pix but I don't think that'll work with your camcorder -- if you dig around in the specs there's a note that this is "especially for HD camcorders," and when I looked at the HD page, it seems that that there are two multi-function output jacks on those camcorders, one for video/audio (like yours) and an additional jack for component out.
So it looks like this cable (the HD one) is for such a camcorder, and I only see one mulit-function output jack on your camcorder. -
Sony camcorders don't output component analog. Some models only have composite (yellow) out. Most have S-Video (Y/C).
What are you trying to connect to?
All models have IEEE-1394 out for high quality DV connection to a PC.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Or maybe that's just the Canadian models? -
He said he has a MiniDv DCRHC26.
Broadcast level camcorders usually have component analog out but not SD consumer models.
HD is a different class. Most are moving to HDMI to save all the analog circuitry. -

You don't have a 1080i Handycam camcorder. -
The camcorder is hooked up to my editor. So I'm just using it to hook to a TV for playback.
But, since After Effects can also talk to the camera, I wanted to get a better quality connection besides the crappy composite RCA.
S-Video is better, but I notice that the component cable, even though it's designed for the HD version of this camera, has the exact same connection. I can probably safely assume that it will work.
I was gonna try the component cable, but there's no audio on it. So the reason I was wonder if a) Would the cable work, and b) is there a version with audio. -

If you want component to your monitor, use an ADVC-300 up or an HDV camcorder or something like the Panasonic HVX-200.
