Hi.
I need help with Gordian Knot.Everytime I shall make an .avi file from GK it ends up with one file that is 150 MB.But the file should be around 700MB.
The dvd i use is PAL and it's 1:19 long.I don't know what I do wrong,so please help me.
First I ripp the dvd, then make an .asv file with DVD2AVI and then try to encode with GK,and everytime end upp with an file that is 150 MB.

I follow your method partway, but with DVD2AVI I produce a wav and a d2v file. I read the d2v file back into GK, do any cropping and resizing, and output an .avs file. At this stage I use Virtualdub directly to encode, using the bitrate suggested by GK. This works brilliantly, and I can usually encode to with a few MB of my target size.
The critical difference, I think, is I use *save* rather than *save and encode*. -
in DVD2AVI select "Save Project", this will give you a d2v file (video) and a wav file (audio) then put these files in TMPGEnc
