    mmmh!
A VCD should show the following directories:
    CDI
    EXT
    MPEGAV
    SEGMENT
    VCD

    A SVCD should show:
    EXT
    MPEG2
    SEGMENT
    SVCD

Using Nero you should use the VCD or SVCD compilation to burn your mpegs.

When you get your files from the net, what format are they in? It sounds like you are encoding them twice, which is a lengthy process, and will result in a drop in quality. The SVCD plugin for Nero is to allow it to encode to (S)VCD, and really it is not the best tool for the job. It is a good burner, but a poor encoder.

  7. hi
right it takes much time and the quality is a bad.
The files are bin and cue files, i think mpeg.

The problem is : a friend take the films from net and burned they with Nero as Data Mode 2 , his player plays the films, another frinds player too, but my player not. it begins to read the disc shows VCD or SVCD but then stop it.

I become Stuart Little from him , it was not running.
I read the cd withe nero as vcd, burned it normal as vcd and now it runs.

I dont know why he burned the files as data mode 2 they are bin and cue files.
when i burned a cue / bin file nero automaticly burned it as vcd or svcd why must he take data mode 2?

i cant take the fils self from net, my E-Donkey gif me a download from max 10 , it takes 2 -3 weeks for a film and this is shit....

    i take max download 0 , max upload 11 , line speed down 96 , max connections 300 , on windows xp .
I have an Athlon XP 2400 , 1500 MB Ram this must be enough or not?

i think i must live with this problem.

I frequently get SVCD in bin/cue format. What i do, which always seems to work, is extract the mpg using Isobuster. Then I run this mpg through TMPG's mpeg tools and use the simple multiplex option (SVCD option). I give the output file a new name, and burn to SVCD using Nero's SVCD option.

If I wanted something quicker, I would use CDRWin to burn the bin/cue files direct, but the former method is more reliable.

  9. thanks, i test it with isobuster and your method.

by the way are the settings that i use in e-donkey ok?
or how can i find informations about the settings for the donkey?

once i take a filme from e-donkey and burned this it runs perfekt.
but now i cant take any films from it and when i can get a film a message shows corrupted not complete , and this files do not run.
Not on PC and not on my Player.

I installed my complete System new and the Donkey too, but nothing has changed.
