    I have tried to play svcd- on my Ps2? Is there a way that i can do it? and does the ps2 play dvdr ? movies?

    do a search.

    PS2 can not play VCDs or SVCDs. If however can play DVD-Rs. You would have to re-encode the SVCD into DVD format and burn onto a DVD-R. In other words, not really worth it. Look into an Apex DVD player. Only 60 bucks and plays anything and everything.
