  1. hi all

    I captured a movie to DivX. I followed almost all instructions from the "How to capture to DivX in realtime"-page, but unfortunately I forgot to click the "Lock video stream to audio"-button in the settings-menu of virtualdub. During capturing about 40 frames were dropped (length of movie is about 1 1/2 h ) and now video and audio donīt match because of my mistake. Are there any possibilities to get audio and video of the DivX avi-file synced with free software like virtualdub?

    Thanks in advance

    Yes.

    1. Load the AVI file into your Virtual Dub.
    2. Select Video-->Scan video stream for errors, and remove any junk frames.
    3. Select Audio-->Full Processing Mode
    4. Select Audio-->Conversion-->44100 Hz
    5. Select File-->Save as Wav....
    6. Launch TMPGEnc, close the wizard
    7. Load the original video as input video, and the new wav file as output video.
    8. Select Load and your favorite template
    9. Select Start and the resultant file should be what you had in mind
    Hello.

  3. Hi again

    Unfortunately your advice didnīt help. I scaned the movie, but virtualdub couldnīt find any junk frames. Are there any other ways to get audio and video synced?

    Yes, I usually refer the person to audio resynch guide(s). But before you do that, can you tell what you VDub preferences are as supposed to Selecting Options-->Full Processing, and selecting Options-->Preferences. Just tell what values are there.
    Hello.
