Hi,
The problem is that I am trying to rip Monster's Ball, which I rented from Blockbuster. When I put the DVD in my DVDrom, smart ripper won't even recognize it. At first I thought it might be my DVD player, but then I tried a different Dvd, and it worked fine. Is there some kind of block that the movie companies are putting on their Dvd's so we can't rip? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
Carol

First , your post would be more appropriate , I think, without the five words following the movie title.... extraneous and incriminating. Without them, total innocence can be presumed.
Second, actually play the DVD for a few seconds into the film with the DVD player software on your PC. Pause, strart Smartripper, and close your player.
