    i've converted a movie in both mpeg-1 and mpeg-2 and everytime i go to open it in the authoring section of ulead it says its not a valid format. and i know i'm converting them properly with tmpgenc, so why can't i put a movie in to edit?

    btw, the movie i'm trying to edit is under 80 minutes (nightmare before christmas) and i have burned it vcd format which plays fine on my dvd player. but i really want to be able to edit in an intro and chapter sections.
