  2. Video Studio its designed to edit the captured movies
    and add titles and efects

Movie Factory its designed to make VCD SVCD DVD menues
    and burn the CD/CDRW

i think you can replace the Movie Factory using Nero
or Roxio but you need Video Studio / Media Studio or
Adobe Premier to edit and create home videos.

Video Studio does this also, but only with static menu thumbnails and without menu background music (it does do the single intro clip that plays when you load the disk, before the menu appears). I believe the burn plug-in is the same.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. Thanks, one final question, does that mean that Video Studio 6 can do what dvd movie factory can do and more? make it simple, if I get video studio 6, i can forget about dvd movie factory? TIA

  5. I have both and use both. Video Studio is great for editing movies, but has very limited menu creation.

Movie Factory lets you make fast and easy two layered menus. This allows multiple titles, each with a menu. Video Studio will only allow one title to be burned to CD. Movie Factory lets you put in background music and your own background pictures.

Movie Factory will work with the output from Video Studio or TMPGENC. If you look around you can get it for about $30 US.

Yep, UVS6 makes perfectly adequate menus, but not very jazzy menus. Better menus than Nero (which admittedly isn't saying much), but inferior menus compared to Movie Factory. Buy both, edit in VS, burn in MF.
