  1. Hi folks!

    I have the following problem:

I am trying to convert a AVI with 640x352 to SVCD. What resize Option do I use?

I cant use Full Screen (It would play on 4:3 as a streched) or Keep Aspect Ratio (It would looked thinned...) So I figure the only thing that would work is to use Center/Custom Size. Right?

    SVCD(PAL) size is 480x576, right?

My Avi (640x352) would be rezised correctly to 480x264, but I have to strech it with the factor of 1,6 because while playing back it's hight is reduced by the factor of 1,6, right?

So I took 480x352 as my Center-Custom Size.

When playng the converted SVCD on my DVD player the aspect ratio looks right, but it's top and bottom lines (right next to the black borders) flicker very strongly... This does not apear in the original AVI. What have I done wrong?

Or maybe there is a better way to solve my problem that I havend thought of?

    Any Input would be appreciated.

    Thanx,

    Spellbinder

I Believe that you want TMPG input aspect ratio to 1:1 VGA and the output to be 4:3 and the resize to centered ( keep aspect ratio ).

I don't use tmpgenc though so I could be wrong.
