How do I screen caprture a frame from a DVD movie under Win XP ?

I tried turning down the media player vid acceleration settings but it didnt help.

Ive already got the movie "SmrtRipped" to my hard drive but wanted to grab a few frames at hiquality before converting to VCD.

You could use DVD2AVI to get an AVI file. Load this file into Virtual Dub, find a scene that you like, Select Video-->Copy Source Frame to Clipboard, and you scene will be in the clipboard.

    Just loaded up PDVD.

Problem there is the little camera icon is greyed out! argh no!!! LOL

Would this be because its a decrypted VOB on my hard drive or because its the standard edition that came free with with my LiteOn DVDROM drive ?

    Many thanks for your help.

  5. It's because you have a "crippled" version of Power DVD. On the full version you can capture frames from ANY video source opened in the player.
