  1. I was wondering how you can adjust the Volume or Sound output of an mpeg video file. I have many rock videos I want to add to one VCD but some are too loud and some too quiet etc...
    any ideas appreciated
    thanks

If the audio quality is hugh enough ( you will loose some quality with this trick ) you can export he audio to a .wav ( vdub would probably work ), normalize and re-encode. BeSweet has the abiblity to normalize and encode to mp2. Once you have the new audio .mp2 you will need to make new.mpg files using TMPGenc file/mpeg tools to multiples the original .mpg as video and the new .mp2 as the audio.

Ulead MediaStudio Pro can do this very easily. You simply grab the bar line in the audio track and move it up or down to the desired level. That's it! Takes a few seconds and then save the file and you're done.

You can download a trial version from their website or download the full version elsewhere if you know what I mean!

Both DVD2AVI and Tmpeg have an audio normalizer.
