  1. I recently purchased a usb pvr from hauppage, when i first got it i was appauled by the sound quality, which i eventually improved by changing my input from rf to a scart to composite cable. Altho i still get slight distortion esp when played loud. It normally wouldnt be a huge problem but the whole reason for buying the pvr was to mpeg music vids.
Anyways has any one got a pvr that has similar probs or can help in anyway?
    cheers carl

You could load the original video into Gold Wave, select Effects-->Filter--Noise Reduction. If this filter makes the sound too low, have Gold Wave increase the volume, so you have increased noise reduced audio. It sounds so much better!

Or if you have the CD of your music video, Gold Wave can load it into an Mp3 file to dub over your music video.

The noise reduction and turning the stereo on works like new money. I had crackling in my video once, this was before I realized my recording audio was set too high. I reduced the noise, and noticed only one of my channel had audio, copied it, and mixed it onto the empty channel. Not only had the audio been improved, but it was now in stereo!

I used cd audio for background music (really adds power to it), but actually dubbing music videos is not what I like doing with video editing.
