i have a problem when following this guide (converting LOTR dvd)
here it is:

and if i go and open this file : aviSynth_script_file_avs_vfapi
on my windows media it said:

unrecognized exception!
c:\Program Files\dvd2svcd\movie\avi Synth_script_file.avs, line2

and i am not able to located an avi file of the videostream (the sound is ok)

maybe this will help

but i am preatty sure that the problem is really with dvd2avi
