You probably have seen this problem before, but I can burn vcds using nero in avi format. They can play on my dvd player, but the video skipps around and is choppy, making them unwatchable. I was wondering if there was a way to fix that. I was thinking of converting the avi files to mpeg format.

Use one of the excellent guides on this site to convert to mpeg http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert.htm. The guides are really great. Use them
