  1. Hi folks,

    I have an AVI file that it seems it Skips Frames during the playback.

    I have tried playing it with VLC and even on my stand-alone home media player (Netgear, it is like WD Media Player) ... and the AVI file seems that it skips frames. The file is not packed bitstream ... so it is not that problem.

    Open the file in Virtualdub and find a section that shows the problem (somewhere with some motion).
    Look at it one frame at a time (right arrow key) and see if you see frames that are duplicates of the previous frame
    and / or appear to jump further than it should.

    If you're unable to figure out what is wrong, cut out a small section with Virtualdub and post it here
    (somebody will take a look) You can post up to 30MB.

  3. Yes, you need to determine whether you have a playback problem or if the problem is the video itself.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Assuming the problem is the Video itself ... is there an "Easy" fix to it? If so, what do I use to fix and How?

    Impossible to answer without looking at it (which is why I mentioned uploading a portion).
    There may be a "pattern" that can be solved with a good Avisynth script.
