  1. Can anyone help me with a guide how to delete bad frames on avi files using virtual dub or another simular program... Because when i frameserve with virtual to tmpeg-encoder some movies crash and when i check for bad frames it tells me witch ones are bad, but my problem is i cant delete them... sorry for my english, im very tired at the moment

  2. Once you have checked for bad frames in vdub, just save as an avi file with a different name. It will resave the file without the bad frames.

    You have two choices, using the latest version of Vdub (With a MMX problem that can stop the scan) or an old hacked Version called "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe"

    Vdub Normal
    Video > Scan video stream for errors
    If it finds any

    Video > direct stream copy
    Audio > direct stream copy
    SAVE AVI

    Note, that above is not suitable with problem VBR files, you would need to save out the whole AVI using full processing mode, uncompressed.

    vdub-mp3-freeze.exe

    Video > Check Video for Freezes
    This makes a log of any bad frames at c:\badframes.log
    You can then use that log to delete the bad frames (At the nearest keyframe) starting with the highest blocks of bad frames first.
