I have ripped a DVD movie and everything worked fine, but i want to add subtitles to it using the .ifo file...
i use one of the guides on this site and work ok, but how long does it take to the frameserver to finish adding the subs??

Ripping strictly is getting the vobs off the DVD. Presumably uou encoded it to some format (VCD, SVCD, DivX?). The best time to have added subtitles would have been when you were encoding, otherwise you will need to do a second encode.
If you only intend playing the movie on your PC there is no need to actually add permanent subtitles. -
HI
Well yeah i encoded for a VCD too watch it on my DVD player... but i haven't delete the Vobs files yet, how can i add them before encoding? -
Well, I think you will need to encode the VCD again adding the subtitles as you encode. There's a good guide at the bottom of these forums.
I used Vobsub to extract the subtitles, and then frameserved to TMPG with Virtualdub adding the Vobsub filter. -
hi
you could encode the vobs to mpg-1(vcd) with subs using flakmpeg or dvdx
very simple
