  1. Okay, this uis driving me crazy -- Ever since i started trying to burn my anime on VCDs (for an anime party ) i have had trouble when playing it on my Apex DVD player... the problem is this:
All my anime has subtitles, right? You know, so you can UNDERSTAND what is happening, but when i play it on my DVD player, all four sides lose like an entire inch -- effectivly cutting all subtitles, and much detail from the sides and top of the screen, too.

When I play the SVCD in Cyberlink PowerDVD, i get every single bit -- nothing is missing... SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!

Here is the process i use to burn...

    1. Save the .wav using VirtualDub
    2. Convert the avi to an mpeg-2 using TMPGenc (using the SVCD NTSF film profile)
    3. Burn the encodes using Nero Burning Rom

HELP ME PLEASE THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

    P.S.

Btw, i have also tried burning it and encoding it and everything in one step using Nero... same result... It happens on all the anime I have tried, too (e.g, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, and X)

in TMPGEnc go to "set video arange method" on the "advanced" tab and set "Center as custom size" as your selection . in the pixel size selection enter 328 and 224 as the size there ..

on the "video" tab set your output size as 352 x 240 (this is for ntsc)

.. if your PAL the numbers woudl be 328 and 272 for the first part and 352 x 288 forthe output size ..

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
