  1. my problem is that i get an error.

    "cce encoding failed:error: video check-sum is different from that of previous pass.
    source video data or time code may be different.
    please check video tape or the information file."

    information file:
    current check sum=00f05388
    previous check sum=0108aa2b


    what is meaning this?
    what must i do?

  3. i don't actually use dvd2svcd [prefer manual] but what the error message means is that your source m2v file has changed between cce's first vbr pass and the second. if you didn't fiddle around with it, as i imagine you didn't since it was during the encoding, i can't imagine what would change the crc.

    maybe it's a bug?

  4. I've only seen this in 2 instances - one is where I encoded a small portion of the movie for cropping purposes and forgot to delete the *.vaf file. The other is trying to run XNews at the same time as CCE - there may be other programs that running at the same time as CCE cause a memory corruption issue that causes the problem.
