What do you do when TMPGEnc keeps aborting in the middle of a really long encode? Also, how fast does everyone else encode at? I have 384MB of RAM, and it wants to take 15 hours to encode to XVCD........just wondering....

Your CPU is almost everything when it comes to encoding video.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
if tmpg stops in the middle of your encode then you have an error in your file, load it in virtual dub and scan for errors, then you will know for sure. on my "antique" i average about 17 hour per encode
