    I was wondering if there's a program out that will let you cut various sections of an mpeg file? Say I have a complete movie, but want to save one part of it and want to cut it, what program would allow me to do so that's effective and works well? Thanks.

    I think TMPGenc does cutting and merging.

    TMPGEnc allows you to cut the mpeg file. you can download it from http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_download.html
