I'm using vcdeasy v1.1.1 with a QPS CRD-BP1600P. It was working fine but now says i have no cd writer or there are aspi problems. I ran aspi check and it says there is no compatible hardware found. I have tried reinstalling vcdeasy, but it comes up with the same error. All my other cd burning software works fine. Please help!

I get that same error if I only have Nero 5.5 installed. Apparently it hides the ASPI layer. So I installed the crappy CD-Writer software that came with my HP CD-Writer 16x burner in order to get the ASPI installed. Now VCDEasy/VCDImager works fine. If a burning software came with your CD burner, which often comes with a OEM version of EZCD Creator or other stripped down software, then you might try doing the same thing. Also, if you do have EZCD Creator installed already, you might try downloading the later ASPI from Adaptec's website.
Hope this helps. -
Did you install Windows XP, then notice the problems? or was the ASPI working fine with Windows XP?
If you just installed Windows XP, then you started having problems, try getting FORCE ASPI. It's the only ASPI that has worked on my computer (and several others as i have heard) with Windows XP.
If it worked fine with Windows XP before, ignore this post.
