This is the first time this happened to me (I just reformatted my computer while ago as well)
I can still rip NTSC dvd's okay, but my pal dvd's aren't working. When I load up smart ripper and it goes through the testing file access, vts_01_0.vob->Win_IO locked! comes up.
A dialogue pops up saying Some files are still locked! Try to unlock with a player.
So I opened my dvd-rom player, and started to play, a viola - it was unlocked. However I ripped what I wanted off it (a music video) - the vob files start off all in green, and have quite a few glitches through it (as it looks in dvd2avi).
So after processing them in dvd2avi, I open up TMPGEnc, and as I load it, it always freezes during the "Judging Field Order" at 38 or 39%. I loaded it again anyway, and tried encoding, but it went through some error 5 seconds into the video - and the video had all these glitches anyway.
I would really like to rip these 2 videos for a vcd compilation I'm making, but I have no idea what to do. (again I ripped files from these dvd's with no problem's whatsoever months ago, so what happened?)
