    hello
    I guess my question would be, regardless of space restrictions, how could I achieve maximum quality of my video ripped from an 8mm camcorder using an s-video connection. Im ripping using virtualdub. Please, any information on settings/preferences would be helpful. Im going to tv-out the video later after editing it, so as i said, the size doesnt matter. MAXIMUMMMMMMMMMMMMM quality people!

    A Timebase corrector between your camera and capture card
    A capture card that can cap - 24bit uncompressed video
    A PC that can write uncompressed video without dropping frames

    Consider using a lossless video codec
    Huffy UV is currently the best choice out of these.
