excuse me.
pardon me for my bad english and for being such an idiot on this all video things, but i got some problem with my video-playing software and hope you all could help.
i just downloaded some videos from youtube, and it works normally when i played each of it on the video player (the one with codec packs etc.). the problem occured when i try to merge all this video into one video. i usually used the flvbinder or the flvjoiner to combine the video. but in this particular occassion, the result of the video combining was a failure. the timecode is incorrect, and when i tried to skip some scenes while the video played, the mediaplayer crashed.
there are six videos that i want to merge, and apparently, the problem is on, let's call it, video number 4. ive tried merge video number 1+2+3, and it succeeded. but everytime i tried to combine it with number 4, the result would be a mess.
ive tried to merge it with avidemux also, and the only video that seems to be the problem is the video number 4. it is because, when i open it (video number 4) with avidemux, the program detected video duration are only 1 minute 30 seconds. meanwhile, the original duration is around 9 minutes 30 seconds. it seems that avidemux only detected 2983 frame on the video (unlike, for example, video number 1, which has 9 minutes 30 secs duration, avidemux detect that duration precisely, and the frame count was 17700).
why is this happening? why i could watch this video number 4 on my player normally (9 min 30 sec) but avidemux only detect about 2984 frames (which i guessed the reason of why i couldnt merge the video.)? is there a solution for this problem?
help please. thanks.![]()

still no answer...
as a matter of fact, apparently i got the same problem with another series of video i want to merge. its just, in this series, the problem is on video number 2 and number 3. avidemux only detect 2 minutes and 5 secs on video number 2 (3776 frames) from the original 9 mins 50 secs that i could play on the video player. and for video number 3, avidemux only detect 3 secs (119 frames) from the original duration (9 mins 50 secs). and i assumed, because of that fact, the merging process became disorganized (like the first one).
actually, i did merge another series of video (beside these two). the process went well and the result was perfect.
how to fix this, please help.
again, sorry for my terrible english. im not a native, so im trying hard here. i hope anyone would help me. -
It's difficult to provide much help without seeing the video.
What is the URL of the video you mentioned above?
What did you download from youtube? FLV? MP4?
What is the resolution? -
thank you so much for your response dave.
i dont know if it's flv or mp4 actually. i downloaded it using IDM, and it appears it has a flv extension after downloaded.
for the first problem, the resolution for all the videos (6 videos) i want to merge are pretty much the same. it has 480X360 dimensions, with H264 audio, and AAC audio (the flvjoiner gives this information). when i tried to merge video no 1, 2, 3, there's no problem, and the result was completely done. same goes with videos number 5 and 6 or other combination. but when i include this particular video no 4 in the process, its always ended up in a mess. like i said, when i opened it (vid no 4) with avidemux, the program detected a false frame counts, which i believe is why this video are the one that gave the trouble.
these are the links of the videos:

It seems part 4 has an error at about 1 minute 39 seconds..
Perhaps you should re-download them all at 480p and try those. -
I saw a glitch in Virtualdub, so some kind of bad frame/corrupt data. I've not aware of a tool that can fix it.
Might be quicker to download the 480p version. -
ive tried, but it just the same.. (i downloaded 2.54 r6854 too)
anyway, all problems above are solved (i redownload the series at 480p, and the merging process are done succesfully).
been idle for a while, im facing a new problem right now.not too different from the previous problem, it also issues about merging a series of videos.
the problem is, in a series of 5 videos, i got 1 or 2 video with 22050 Hz audio format. meanwhile the other videos are in 44100 Hz. when i tried to join them directly, the result was a joined video with a skipped scene (when it start entering the part of the video with 22050 Hz), or when i tried to jump into the time (of the video with 22050 Hz) directly, the sound wont come out. or sometimes it crashes.
there's a solution for this though. i converted the resampling rate of the video with 44100 Hz to 22050 Hz. and after the 5 videos are in the same rate, i append it all. but this process took a VERY LONG time. you see, usually in a series of 5 videos, there's only 1 or 2 video with 22050 Hz, and the rest was in 44100 Hz. so i have to convert it all, and then append it (which was took a very long time, because i couldnt join it with the flv joiner anymore. i must use the avidemux). meanwhile, i got a lot of series to work with.
is there a way to just convert the 22050 Hz video file into 44100 Hz? or are there a quicker way to solve this problem?
and also, one more question. i got a video with a separated ass-format subtitle. how to combine both of it into one file?
please, dave, i hope you could help me again.or anyone....

Not sure about the subs, perhaps Subtitle Workshop -Perhaps someone else will answer with more specific info.
Regarding the audio various problems can appear, but if you're lucky it may not be too bad.
Demux all the audio from each section. Open them in an audio editor (Audacity or similar).
Convert the sample rate of those that need it, join the files into one big file and save.
Append the video in Avidemux. Disable the audio stream and add the saved audio file from above. -
oh, could you explain the steps? or how to do it systematically? ive got subtitle workshop, but i dont know how to deal with this case.
seems like a more reasonable way, but maybe a little complicated because i dont know how to do it exactly. i got the concept though(separate the audio and the video, merge each of them, and finally merge them both). and yes, apparently im lucky so far, since all the work done perfectly, although it took a very long time.
thank you so much for your advice, will do if i got stuck
just to make sure, is it able to convert the lower sample rate to a higher sample rate? (ex: 22050 to 44100) -
Yes of course. It's a full fledged audio editor, it's very good for a free product.
I can give you the concept of how the subs are fixed:
Somewhere in the program you can offset the time the second episode sub (for example) starts.
For example, if the first video ends at 22 minutes 10 seconds, you set the start time of the second sub to that and it offsets
all of them from that time. -
i got one more silly queston actually
, hope anyone could help.
how to capture a scene from a video and export it to a jpeg image?
