  1. After I Encode a .AVI files with TMPGENC, i tried to brun the .MPG by using the New Nero Express where i select "Video CDs" option. After selecting the .MPG files it prompt that the files is "Not VCD Compliant" and need to re-encode to VCD format before burning.

May i know what's the difference if i encode using TMPGENC and then Nero prompting tol re-encode it? Or did i miss out any steps?

    Thanks

  2. Have you read:
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm

It includes steps to convert avi to mpg using Nero. I know Nero Express is not the software covered, but it might shed some light into your problem.

  4. Is the MPEG-1 file you encoded with TMPGEnc VCD-compliant? I mean was it an MPEG-1 1150/224 CBR 352x240 NTSC (or 352x288 for PAL)?
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

I encode it to PAL using 352x288 25fps CBR 1150kbps

When you are about to encode to TMPGEnd, select the "Load" option on the main program screen. When the requester appears, select the template you need for your VCD. I found some more templates on www.kvcd.net, but the default ones in that template are compliant. This should encode a an MPG file that will not cause errors.
    Hello.
