I have a circa 1996 STB TV card. I get sound (albeit crappy, that I haven't figured out) on captures using the capture applet bundled with the card, but if I try virtualdub, no sound (I get sound in the preview window or whatever its called. I was following the guide on this forum for vdub. Any ideas what's going on?
Also is anyone using the STB able to capture at 640x480 at 30 fps? What's the most I can expect to get out of the card? I'm having big time frame drop even at 320x240 at 15 fps! (I should note that I didn't defrag my HD, I didn't disable McAfee VScan running in the background, was doing a dial-up download in the background during this). I'm just doing 60 sec tests until my new 80MB HD arrives next week.
Thanks
Alan
